The AA Team: Aundra & Amara
Every love story has a beginning—but ours started with a whisper across a table.
In April 2022, at Casa Mexicana in Memphis, what seemed like an ordinary night with friends quietly turned into something meaningful. Amara overheard a familiar voice telling Aundra that she was “a good woman.”
Curious, she glanced around, wondering who they could possibly be talking about—only to realize, with a mix of surprise and intrigue, that they meant her. From that moment on, something unspoken began to grow.
What started as group dinners filled with laughter, good food, and shared stories slowly turned into something more intentional. Aundra and Amara found themselves lingering a little longer, talking a little deeper, and eventually choosing each other—one-on-one. There was no rush, no pressure—just a natural pull that neither of them could ignore.
They were drawn together by joy. By the way they could walk into any room and leave with new friends. By their shared love of God, music, dancing, sports, playing competitive games, traveling, making each other laugh, long talks about their day's experiences and thoughts, trying new things and places, and simply enjoying life. By the comfort of being completely themselves—unfiltered, unguarded, and fully seen.
As time passed, their world expanded. From traveling for Aundra’s softball games and golf outings to spending time with family and friends to going to every Mexican restaurant they could find..., every experience brought them closer. Their days were filled with dinner dates, movie nights, workouts, prayers, and countless moments of laughter that became the rhythm of their relationship.
But what truly defined their love wasn’t just the fun—it was the foundation they built together.
Through life’s challenges and moments of loss, they chose understanding over distance, strength over silence, and each other through it all. In those moments, their love deepened. It became steady. Certain. Real.
Aundra became Amara’s place of comfort—making her feel beautiful, protected, and deeply loved. Amara became the same for him. Teaching and learning from each other. And together, they realized something simple yet profound: they were ready. Ready not just for marriage, but for a lifetime of growing, learning, and loving side by side.
They became more than a couple—they became a team.
The AA Team.
And while this chapter brings them to “I do,” their story is far from finished. With every step forward, every laugh shared, and every challenge faced hand in hand…
They are still writing their story.
